A Season of Elegance

Happy Friday, crafty friends! Today, I am sharing a Christmas card using the Peaceful Season Bundle (164021) from the Season of  Elegance Suite found on pages 22- 25 in the September - December 20024 Mini Catalog.

The rich color of Cherry Cobbler dressed in gold is the perfect color combination for creating an elegant Christmas card. But don't stop at Cherry Cobbler. This card will also look great cased in Mossy Meadow and Pretty Peacock - which are also colors found in the Season of Elegance Suite. :)

To create this card I started by cutting a 3 3/8" x 5 " piece of Season of Elegance 12" x 12" Specialty DSP (164144) into 3 separate pieces measuring: 1 1/4", 7/8" and 1 1/4" wide. This was then adhered to a 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" Cherry  Cobbler cardstock layer.

I then die cut a large gold tag using the largest die from the Peaceful Seasons Bundle with a piece of Gold Foil Paper.  I then die cut "Christmas" using Gold Foil paper and the background piece using Basic White cardstock.  Have I mentioned how much I love the "Christmas" die itself? lol
Next, I embossed "merry" onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and die cut it out with the smallest banner die.  After adding a piece of Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/4" Ribbon (164028) to my large gold tag, I adhered the completed layer to a Basic White card base.  Next I adhered my sentiment pieces to the center using Dimensionals.

And how about that beautiful bow?!  This gorgeous die can be found in the Peaceful Evergreen Bundle (164025) which is also a part of the Season of Elegance Suite.
Lastly, I added 3 Gold Textured Adhesive Backed Dots (164027) to complete my card.  Super easy and packs a "wow" punch.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
