Country Flowers for you

 Happy Sunday, crafty friends. Today I am sharing a birthday card perfect for any Fall loving recipient. You can NOT go wrong with the Country Woods Suite. This suite is my top favorite from the annual catalog.

Blue and rust tones are one of my favorite color pairings and I was excited to see these colors for this weeks new color challenge at Sunday Stamps!

In following this weeks challenge, I used the following Stampin' Blends to color my country flowers and watering can:
  • Cajun Craze;
  • Pumpkin Pie,
  • Petal Pink;
  • Copper Clay;
  • Boho Blue,
  • Misty Moonlight; and
  • Balmy Blue.
To make my flowers really pop, I adhered them with Dimensionals onto a soft blue lace pattern of DSP from the Country Lace 12" x 12" DSP.  Instead of coloring the stool with Stampin' Blends, I chose to stamp and die cut a blue woodgrain piece of DSP from the Country Woods 12" x 12" DSP. I love how realistic it looks!

To create more interest on the front of my card, I cut 3/4" off and added a border using the Elegant Borders Dies.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

 Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

 It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
