Adventurous Sky for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday! Today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! and here's what I made using the Take to the Sky Suite Collection.

This suite contains everything you need to create fabulous easy masculine cards and scrapbook pages. I love that there are several different sized air planes and a die cut pieces in the Adventurous Sky Bundle.  The Take to the Sky 12" x 12" DSP contains many different patterns giving you a variety of crafting options.

For this card, I stamped the largest air plane from the Adventurous Sky Bundle using Memento Black ink and colored it using Mossy Meadow, Smoky Slate and Basic Black Stampin' Blends before die cutting it out.

I cut 3 strips of the Take to the Sky 12" x 12" DSP into 1 1/8" x 4 3/8" pieces for even placement for the front of my Basic White card base.   A very simple and easy design to mass produce using any of the other patterns in the DSP pack.

How about those Industrial Trinkets?  They are reversible in that you can use either side for a different look for each of your projects.  And I love how you can add the propeller to both the stamped plane or the die cut plan.  I liked it so much that I added two to mine. :)

My design follows Sunday Stamps! challenge no. 340 below.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
