Sunday Stamps! #326

Happy Sunday! Today starts a new challenge at Sunday Stamps! and I decided to try out the Trusty Tools Bundle with the coordinating Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" DSP  and Heartfelt Hellos stamp set from Sale-a-bration.

Although there are images in the Trusty Tools Bundle and the Trusty Toolbox DSP that can be die cut out,  I wanted to try out the dies all by themselves and see how they worked.

There are lots of possibilities in creating and "accessorizing" these tools. lol  I choose to snip parts off each die cut piece and add them together to create a multicolored drill and wrench with each piece sponged with coordinating ink before adhering them together.
It was super fun to experiment with the dies themselves. For example, notice how I have a "designer wrench" which has embossed Crushed Curry accents on it.  Now it looks more like a wrench I might use! lol!

My card design follows this weeks new sketch challenge by Heather.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
