Fancy Flora DSP

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I have a super easy yet beautiful card to share with you using the beautiful background die cut from the Two-Tone Flora Bundle.

Isn't this background die stunning?  No stamping needed, just some pretty paper such as the Fancy Flora 6" x 6" DSP.

This particular piece of DSP showcases the following colors: Night of Navy, Starry Sky, Orchid Opulence and Balmy Blue.
The die itself measures 4" x 5 1/2" so it is perfect for creating a complete card front.  However, you can also trim it down as I have done for this card.

To highlight the beautiful die cut DSP, I chose to add a smaller sentiment followed by a piece of Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon and finally a few Night of Navy Enamel Dots.
I had originally planned to add some Daffodil Delight die cut flowers you see in these two photos, but decided it was not needed.  Maybe I will add them to my second CASE of this card? :)

Although it is difficult to see in the above photos,  I saved a thin piece of the die cut DSP to add to the inside with a few Starry Sky and Night of Navy stamped flowers. And there you have it! An easy yet beautiful creation using the Two-Tone Flora Bundle.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
