Sunday Stamps#300!

It's hard to believe we are celebrating our 300th challenge at Sunday Stamps! Wow! We are so appreciative of you continuing to playing along with us! For our 300th celebration, we are combining a sketch challenge with the theme of "celebration". Unfortunately for me, I had already made my card and uploaded it before the "celebration" theme was added and did not have time to change it before the link was posted.  As a result, instead of modifying my card.....I made two to share with you. :)

Card No. 1:

While I still had the Country Floral Lane Suite fresh on my mind, I decided to pair the hearts from the Country Bouquet Punch with the Favored Flowers 12" x 12" DSP from Sale-a-bration.

As you know, I love the color purple for crafting so I instinctively gravitated towards the Fresh Freesia and patterned designs of this gorgeous paper. The paper does all the talking and I just added some additional die cut elements.

Card No. 2:

For my second creation, I used the negative "frame" of DSP I cut my original DSP layer for Card No. 1 above and then added a piece of Basic White cardstock behind it that was embossed with the new Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder.
For Card No. 2, I pulled out the color Blackberry Bliss and added some flowers that were die cut from the DSP itself.  How cool is that? The only stamping I had to do (really for both cards) was the sentiment.  All I can say is that the Favored Flowers DSP is stunning in person. :0

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
