Sunday Stamps! #296

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I have a fun card to share with you using the Ringed with Nature Bundle.  I have not prioritized this set and thought it was time to give it a go. This bundle contains a stamp set, coordinating dies and a coordinating hybrid 3D embossing folder. This bundle is so unique that it became a necessary addition to my stamp collection. ;)

The results of this creation completely remind me of the early 70's and how my mom decorated our home.  If you are old enough, can you relate?!  lol

In working with this bundle, I first had to experiment with the dies and the hybrid embossing folder and found there are lots of different ways to use them either together or separately.
You can die cut first and then emboss your die cuts or you can die cut and emboss them at the same time or a combination of the above. It just depends on what you are creating.

To create my center log, I first die cut the shape of the of the log using Crumb Cake cardstock. I, then stamped the mushrooms, leaves and sentiment before running it through the Tree Ring Hybrid Embossing Folder.
After the logs were embossed, I sponged Soft Suede ink around the edges to make the bark.  So fun and so easy to do.

My design follows this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
