Don't miss out on the Perfect Partners Promotion!

Hello, and happy Friday to my crafty friends! It's been a busy week for me and I am sure for you as well. But we made it to Friday and we are all ready for the weekend. :)  Today, I have another creation to share using the Apple Harvest Bundle which is part of the Perfect Partners Promotion which ends on September 30th.

Can I just say how fun these apples are to color!? For this creations, I decided to try out Colored Pencils and Stampin' Blends together after seeing a few lovely creations on Pinterest. What a fun "new" way to add color to a stamped image!

I used yellow and gray colored pencils to create a "shadow effect" of my cut apple and also used it for the centers and shading areas of the flowers. I then added color over the top using Stampin' Blends.  So fun to try a new technique, right?!

I paired my colored and die cut apples and flowers with some Garden Green die cut leaves. I also added a fun frame around my apples using the Stylish Shaped Dies. Love these!

I had so much fun trying this  technique to color. You should give it a try too!
I have two other Apple Harvest cards that I made that you can see can see HERE and HERE.  Remember: the Apple Harvest Bundle is a part of the Perfect Partners Promotion and the coordinating dies will not be available after September 30th.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

      Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
