Sending Smiles

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I have a sympathy card to share with you using the Sending Smiles Bundle found on page 14 of the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.

If you are a follower of mine, you know that I love flower stamp sets and I love to create projects using them. Sadly, a friend of my husband recently passed away after battling cancer for over 14 months.  I made this card to send to his wife.

To create my card, I first die cut a bunch of blank Basic White flowers and made a die cut template for stamping the flowers in different colors using my Stamparatus.  Don't forget about this wonderful tool. It is extremely helpful and especially when you are mass producing. :)

To create my card, I first picked out my DSP and the colors I wanted to pair it with. I ended up with a gold and Petal Pink design from the Texture Chic 12" x 12" DSP and used the following ink colors: Petal Pink, Crushed Curry, Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent and Early Espresso.

I stamped a few leaf images using Soft Succulent ink in the center of a Basic White cardstock piece and then added the die cut flowers over the top using Dimensionals.  So fun and so easy (because of my Stamparatus).
I matted my floral arrangement onto a die cut frame using another cool and new item: the Fabulous Frames Dies. The frame was added to my floral scene using Dimensionals for added pop and then adhered to the Texture Chic DSP and Petal Pink card base.

To bring out the gold embossing in the Texture Chic DSP, I embossed the sending sentiment in gold before die cutting it out.  The accompanying smaller word was stamped in Early Espresso ink and cut down to the desired size.
Lastly, I added a few Melon Mambo and Petal Pink die cut flowers which are also from the Sending  Smiles Bundle and a few Petal Pink Elegant Faceted Gems.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
