Prized Peony

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing  a creation made with the retiring Prized Peony stamp set and coordinating Peony Dies.  It is a beautiful set with beautiful sentiments.

This set is so easy to color since the images themselves have a lot of detail giving it the effect of light and dark areas.

I colored my flower using Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends before die cutting it out.

I added it to a Basic White cardstock piece that was die cut with the Seasonal Label Dies and added some Granny Apple Green leaves from the Forever Flourishing Dies.

Using a Blending Brush, I added Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia ink to a polka dot piece of Pattern Party 12" x 12" Hostess DSP.
The sentiment comes from the Blossoms In Bloom stamp set which is another awesome set that is retiring.

Some Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon and Black Matte Dots finish it off.
I love the Blending Brushes with Black & White DSP.  It is so easy to create your own colored DSP.
