Flowering Tulips

Hello crafty friends.  Now that Christmas is over, I need to send some thank you cards for the special people in my life and although I am still visiting with my daughter, I did find some time yesterday to craft. With lots of new goodies on my shelf, I choose to create using another new bundle from the January - June 2022 Mini Catalog called FLOWERING TULIPS.

There are many different ways you can use this stamp set to in creating the tulips. For this creation, I chose to stamp the Two Step flower directly onto Mango Melody colored cardstock using Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody ink.

I slimmed the width of a Basic White cardstock panel and then embossed it with the TIMBER 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER.  Next, I added a strip of FLOWERING FIELDS 12" x 12" DSP near the bottom and then layered it onto a Mango Melody layer with a piece of Evening Evergreen 3/8" Sheer Ribbon.

I liked my card so much that I decided to make a few more using different colors and patterns of FLOWERING FIELDS DSP.
For this card, I stamped Rich Razzleberry and Highland Heather ink onto Fresh Freesia cardstock. In case you didn't know - I love me some purple. :)

My third color variation focuses on Petal Pink cardstock with Poppy Parade and Flirty Flamingo ink.

To better match the leaves in this particular pattern of DSP, I swapped out Evening Evergreen cardstock for Pear Pizzazz cardstock.

And what do you think of the BRUSHED BRASS BUTTERFLIES? Aren't they just so cute?  They are also a part of the Flowering Fields Suite and accent the FLOWERING TULIPS perfectly. :)

Can you believe we are in the last days of 2021?  Time just keeps flying by doesn't it?   There's only a few more days left to get your favorites from the July - December 2021 Mini Catalog. Don't miss out!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
