Peaceful Cabin

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I have a few Christmas cards to share with you using the beloved Peaceful Cabin Bundle.

I used the same layout for each card but used 6 different patterns from the Peaceful Place 12" x 12" DSP for each one. As a result, I will be able to make 72 Christmas cards just like this. :)

Here's the first one I made using the dies to make a simple silhouette using Basic White cardstock.
I love the simplicity of it. No stamping except for the sentiment yet it creates a cozy winter scene.

Here's my second take. This time I embossed the trees with Shimmer White Embossing powder. This powder is retired now, but you could add any glitter you have to white embossing powder and get the same effect.

And here's another example of the same card but for this one I used a piece of the Peaceful Place 12" x 12" DSP that has the silver embossed pine trees on it.

And finally, for my last creation, I added a second die cut layer that was also embossed with Shimmer White Embossing powder to the trees using the Cabin Dies.
This is such a fun and easy bundle to work with.  Sadly, the Peaceful Place 12" x 12" Specialty DSP is on backorder, but do not fret. You can easily substitute this card layout with any DSP you have on hand and still get the same effect.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
