Ever Eden 12" x 12" Specialty DSP

 Hello, crafty friends. I hope you are all doing well. I, on the other hand have been dealing with a faulty furnace.  Two words: no good. But you did not stop by to hear about  my life problems but instead see a new crafty creation. :)

I normally photograph my pictures with my fancy camera, but I decided to give my phone camera a go today to save me some precious time. :)  I decided to make some Christmas cards with this "oh so gorgeous" Ever Eden 12" x 12" Specialty DSP and paired it with the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and matching Poinsettia Dies.

Check out my video to see all four versions of this card!

I can not tell you how much I love this DSP! Evening Evergreen paired with Soft Succulent with gold foil accents is just dang beautiful!!

This card layout is so easy to recreate and is perfect for using up your beloved DSP with your favorite stamp set.

Would you like to recreate this card?

Here are measurements:
  • 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Soft Succulent card base scored at 4 1/4" on the long side;
  • 4" x 5 1/4" Evening Evergreen cardstock layer;
  • 3 7/8" x 3 3/4" gold accented Specialty DSP piece;
  • 3 7/8" x 1 1/5" DSP piece for the bottom.
I embossed the leaves with Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Soft Succulent DSP and colored them with a light Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blend before die cutting it out.  I added Gold Foil sprigs to the white flower and die cut a center using Gold Foil and Evening Evergreen cardstock.  I adhered a piece of Gold Shimmer Ribbon along the DSP line and the gold embossed sentiment was die cut with the Seasonal Labels Dies.  So fun!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

 Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

 It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
