Holiday themed projects for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Home for the Holidays”. We really hope that you enjoy and are inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

How exciting to be able to share some "Home for the Holidays" projects with you! Here are a few festive creations highlighting the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle with the Ever Eden 12" x 12" Specialty DSP.
With new supplies on my table, I just had to create another project using the Ever Eden Specialty paper and thought it would be fun to try it out with the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle for a fun twist.

I liked my card so much that I ended up making two.  For the first one, I decided to make Gold Foil ornaments to focus on a piece of the Ever Eden 12" x 12" Specialty DSP  I have not yet used.
I kept my creation pretty simple to let the ornaments with the gorgeous specialty DSP do all the talking. Sadly, my photos do not capture how the gold ornaments just pop off the page.

As usual, I ended up changing my second card just a bit.
This time I embossed the border image from the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle with gold embossing powder and added an Evening Evergreen die cut "cookie top" on top of the gold foil bottom piece.  I also made the length of the DSP a little longer so that I could fit my sentiment right below as opposed to on top of the ornament.

Of course I had to add some Garden Gems to finish them off. :)

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on December 8th. Our theme will be “My Favorite Things” with our design team showcasing some of their favorite products from any catalog they choose.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
