Swap Card

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing one of the swap cards I made back in July for a swap with 15 other Demonstrators who live randomly around the USA.  It is so fun to be able to share ideas with each other and to see what others create. One of my swaps (we made two different projects for the swap) used the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle (item 156478). So, yes, I have another Pretty Pumpkin card to share. lol

My color theme for this Pretty Pumpkin card is: Cajun Craze, Basic Gray, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  I just love this color combination! It is basically what my kitchen colors are.
One of my favorite accessory products that carried over to the July - December 2021 Mini Catalog and works awesomely with the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle is the Black Glitter Paper (item 153518).  This paper is thin, easy to die cut, sparkly and does not shed! :)

And because I made a fun fold card for my swap that used quit a bit of ribbon, I ended up making two slightly different versions of the same card and just switching the pumpkin colors/cardstock around.
I am also happy to report that the new Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon (item 156485) is also awesome.  It is so soft, easy to work with and is the perfect 1/4" width size.

Which version do you like better? I can not decide. lol

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
