Sunday Stamps! #266

Happy Sunday crafty friends. Today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! and this week we are working with a sketch challenge.  Here's what I made using my most all time favorite stamp set from the 2021 -2022 annual catalog - The Hand-Penned Petals.

I know I should be working on or at least trying out some of the Christmas products from the July - December 2021 Mini Catalog, but I honestly am having a hard time going there.  I am thinking October will be my "hello, you need to start making those oodles of Christmas cards before you are staying up much too late to get them done". :0

However, I have to admit I did indeed use a new item from a Christmas bundle for this card.  Do you know what it is?  It is the beautifully shaped die cut behind my flower arrangement and it is from the Seasonal Labels Dies.  These dies are going to be awesome for any sentiment you have.  I am excited about it - but remember...I'm not going there yet. lol

I colored my Hand-Penned Petals die cut flowers using Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends.  Super quick and easy to color. That may be half the reason it is my all time favorite stamp set from the annual catalog. :)

I paired it with a polka dot piece of Beautifully Penned 12" x 12" DSP from Sale-a-bration and then matted it onto a Smoky Slate layer that was embossed with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder.

Another cool and trendy product you may have passed up in the July - December 2021 Mini Catalog is the Black & White Gingham Ribbon.  It is definitely worth adding it to your ribbon collection. It's the perfect size width and ties super easily.  ;)

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
