Winter Woods

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a fun card I made for a customer who submitted  her PERKS rewards for the Winter Woods stamp set.  If I have time (sometimes I actually do- lol), I try to make a card for inspiration for them.

The Winter Woods stamp set and matching In the Woods Dies are retiring, and as I said before - I am trying to give my retiring products a little more love before they are gone.

To start my card, I created my sunset background using Polished Pink, Blushing Bride and Seaside Spray ink with the awesome Blending Brushes.

After heat setting it, I stamped the row of trees using Versamark and then embossed the trees using Gold Embossing Powder.

My embossed panel was then die cut using the Rectangle Stitched Dies and then layered onto a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock followed by the Fine Art 3/8" Metallic gold Ribbon and then finally a Basic White card base.

I also embossed the sentiment in Gold Embossing Powder and then punched out just the "thinking of you" using the retiring Classic Label Punch.

And to finish it off, I added some Champagne Rhinestones.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
