Saying Goodbye

Hello, crafty friends.  I took a few days off to recuperate and am refreshed and ready to share some more ideas with you.  My focus over the next week or so will be on retiring products.

My first share for you uses the retiring Pretty Parasol and the Under my Umbrella stamp sets; the retiring Umbrella Builder Builder punch, the retiring Butterfly Gems and highlighting the retiring 2019-2021 In Colors.

My first of 5 card focuses on the In Color: Pretty Peacock.

I also used one of the stencils from the March Paper Pumpkin kit to create the sun for my cardFor my first go with the sun stencil, I used So Saffron ink and the Blending Brushes.

Here is another CASE of the above card highlighting the retiring In Color: Rococo Rose.
For this background, I used Daffodil Delight ink to create my sun.

My third CASE highlights the retiring In Color: Terracotta Tile.
For this sun, I used Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody ink- which I added on top of the Daffodil
Delight and after the fact so it is a little blurry/off.

And my forth creation highlights the retiring In Color: Seaside Spray.
For this sun I used Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie.  As you can see, I added the Pumpkin Pie ink mostly to the center area of the sun.

And last, but not least is my 5th CASE highlighting the In Color: Purple Posy.
For this sun, I chose to see what it looked like if I made the sun rays fading away as they went out.  Can I just say how much fun it is to experiment with ink and paper? lol

And as a side note: since we don't have a Purple Posy ink pad, I used Highland Heather ink that was first stamped off onto scratch paper before stamping the umbrella image.  And for my last change up, I decided to color the boots with my Purple Posy Stampin' Blends as opposed to using the matching In Color DSP.

And finally, here are all the cards spread out so that you can see more easily how I slightly changed the sun for each card.  I think this will make a great gift set!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
