Extraordinary Card

Hello, crafty friends. Today's creation was made on a whim and I had no plan in mind but to use retiring colors.  To start, I decided to use Terracotta Tile and Pretty Peacock as I haven't used them in a while. Next, I saw my Buffalo Check Background stamp and thought that it might be on the annual catalog retirement list (to be posed on 3/24/21) so I grabbed it.  And then on a whim, I grabbed the Simply Succulents Bundle (NO- I have no idea if this set is retiring or not) and came up with this "not so ordinary" creation.

I have to admit that I love this card a little extra only because it was made with no real thought process or plan on my part.  I just let my creative self do whatever. 

I honestly didn't feel like coloring all the flowers for this creation and ended up using my Blending Brushes instead.  So glad I did- so fun!  I used Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock and Mint Macaron ink to create my blended background before stamping the succulent flower image over the top using Black ink.

To finish off my card, I grabbled a piece of retired Pretty Peacock DSP and a piece of retiring Terracotta Tile 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon and finally 2 Pretty Peacock Butterfly Gems.

 I have to admit that its always hard for me to say good bye to the retiring In Colors.
