Saying Good-Bye

Hello, craft friends.  Now that the Retirement List is out, I thought I would focus on some retiring products that I have and love.  Today, I am sharing the First Frost stamp set along with the matching Frosted Bouquet Dies and paired it with the retiring In Color: Grapefruit Grove.
Grapefruit Grove is my top favorite In Color retiring.  Can I just say that I love how Stampin' UP! pairs each new In Color with matching DSP, ribbon and embellishments? I will miss this particular ribbon as it is so easy to create bows and add to cards without adding too much bulk.

And to continue my theme of using retiring colors, I added some Call Me Clover stamped and die cut leaves.  Note: The leaves are from the Nature's Root Dies which is NOT retiring, but I just liked how they looked with these gorgeous flowers. :)
Did you notice anything new on my card? lol Now that I have new goodies from the Ornate Garden Suite, I couldn't help but to try some of the new products out.   All I can say is that I love the Ornate Layers and the Ornate Borders Dies and used both on my card. :)

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
