Band Together for SSC#208

Hello, crafty friends. Today's project follows the new sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps! and was made for my 93 year old mother-in-law's birthday. She is a wonderful woman and has always treated me like her own daughter.  She is having a tough time with the ailments she faces each day at her age but continues to have a positive spirit.
This was my first "go" with the Band Together Bundle, and is I am happy to report that it is amazing! This flower is so fun to color and the matching dies are spectacular.

My favorite DSP in the catalog (well at least right now) is the Perennial Essence DSP.  My friend and fellow Demonstrator had gotten a pack of it as a pre-order and was raving about how pretty it was. Then, I finally ordered a pack for myself, and I am now on my second pack! I even used 2 different designs for 2 of the projects in my Daisy Lane PDF Card Class. :)
Of course, I just had to color my flowers purple...more specifically using my Blackberry Bliss and Purple Posy Stampin' Blends.  I also snuck in a piece of Purple Posy cardstock die cut with the Stitched Lace Die. I can't stop using this die either....

Here's this weeks new sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps! was created by Claire:

Purple Posy, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow make a great color combination.

Today is the Last day you can qualify for ALL the goodies I am offering in my Daisy Lane PDF Card Class!  Don't miss out - check it out HERE!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
