Cloud Nine

Hello, crafty friends! I didn't announce that I took a mini vacation last week with my husband to Fort Myers, FL for the very first time without our kids.  It was very relaxing not worrying if everyone is having a good time.  Can you relate?  After returning home, the following day was our youngest son's birthday.  Of course I had his birthday card ready to go (not!).  So here's what I whipped up- literally....
While flying back home to MN, I decided on the theme color red (one of his favorite colors) and of course the number 17 because every card I have ever made for my kids has their birthday number on it.

For this card, I decided the balloon image from the Lift Me Up Bundle would be perfect to showcase No. 17 and still look "cool" and masculine. :)  I also added the "hooray" sentiment from the Broadway Birthday Bundle to add interest to the sky behind the balloon.
Of course, it's always awesome to use retired items we hoard, I mean have on hand. :)  I love the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper from the 2018 Holiday Catalog and hope it makes a come back sometime in the future. :)
