Sunday Stamps! #185

Happy Sunday, crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Sunday Stamps!. This week we are working with a  color challenge and here's what I made using the Beautiful Promenade Bundle found on page 107 of the annual catalog.
I had planned to use the Accented Blooms stamp set but as I sat down to actually create this weeks challenge card, I saw the Beautiful Promenade stamp set and decided it was time to ink it up.  I honestly have tell you that what I love about challenges is that it forces you to "go outside the box" when you are working with a stamp set.  Having said that, I'm 100% sure I would not have put these colors together with this set - yet I think it worked pretty darn well. :D

The name of the stamp set says it all. Aren't those flowers gorgeous? There are many different possibilities for coloring and stamping the flowers. This is a Two Step stamp set, but you wouldn't have add the second layer to the flower to achieve a beautiful flower.  I did use my Stamparatus to create these flowers and have a quick video showing you what I did below.

Here's this weeks color challenge at Sunday Stamps!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
