Sunday Stamps! #181

Hello, crafty friends.  Happy Father's Day to all those great guys we call Dad! :)

Today, we have a new bold and bright color challenge for you to play along with at Sunday Stamps!  Here's what I made using the Love What You Do stamp set.

Stampin' UP! had carried a designer series paper called "A Pop of Pink" a few years back which highlighted Melon Mambo and Black.  This weeks color challenge reminded me of this paper.

I have made so many different cards using the Love What You Do Suite with the coordinating Share What You Love Specialty DSP that it was fun to create using a different color scheme.  Don't get me wrong - the Share What You Love DSP is DA BOMB but working with a color change is nice too. :)

Here's this weeks challenge at Sunday Stamps!

To play along with us, choose a minimum of 3 colors from the photo above.  I chose Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist and Mint Macaron.  The deadline to submit your creation is Friday, June 29, 2018.

Here's how I colored my flowers:  1) Using Melon Mambo ink, I stamped off 2 times onto scratch paper before stamping the medium sized solid image over the flower. 2) I then colored the flower using the Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blend.  Where did I get this you ask??  It was a free item I chose from "cleaning off" the table from the Make and Takes at Onstage last April.  Note: The new Stampin' Blend colors listed in the catalog should be available very soon. 3) I then colored the bottom area of the petals using my Melon Mambo marker.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
