Springtime Foils Specialty DSP

Eeek! I love the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper!  I knew I would, as I love all of the embossed specialty DSP Stampin' UP! has to offer.  This DSP is unique however.  It is a coated glossy white thick cardstock with beautifully detailed embossed patterns in gold, silver and rose gold.

I used a piece of the Rose Gold for this card which matches perfectly with our Copper Foil Sheets and Copper Embossing Powder.

I used my Sponge Brayers to create an ombre background using Powder Pink and Berry Burst inks.  Sponge Brayering on this beautiful paper is so easy! Gentle pressure moving across the paper and the ink just flows right onto it. :)

I embossed the cake from Cake Soiree Bundle with Copper Embossing Powder and then colored it in using my Stampin' Blends markers.  The "celebrate" thinlit from the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies Sale-a-bration is a perfect size for cards but will also be perfect for scrapbook projects.

Project Supplies:
  • Cake Soiree Bundle
  • Powder Pink, Whisper White, Copper Foil Sheets, and Springtime Foil Specialty DSP
  • Berry Burst and Powder Pink inks
  • Celebrate You Thinlits Dies, Sponge Brayers, Copper Embossing Powder, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin' Blends, and Iridescent Sequins.

There is only a few more days left to qualify for option 1 or 2 of my IN THE MAIL card class for the Petal Palette Bundle.  Check out my class page HERE.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
