Simple and Stepped Up Sympathy cards

Hello, crafty friends. I am always in need of sympathy cards, so today I am sharing two cards I made showing you a simple version and a stepped up version.  Sometimes we just don't have hours to create a card, right??

Here's the simple version:

To make it simple, I started by stamping the large flower image from Rose Wonder stamp set onto a 3" X 4" card from the Color Theory Memories & More Card Pack and then layered it onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock.  Add a little more stamping of the flower and adding the splatter image from Timeless Textures stamp set to the card base completes the stamping. Add texture and dimension by adding a piece of washi tape, a black bee from the Detailed Dragonfly Dreams  and some Pearl Jewels- and its done!

Here's the stepped up version:

I stamped the bee in Basic Black ink onto Crushed Curry cardstock and then die cut it out. I used Berry Burst cardstock to die cut the large flower and separated the flower from the leaves by snipping them apart with scissors. To keep the leave pieces together, I carefully added adhesive to the back and then placed a piece of scrap paper over the adhesive.  This gives the leaves some dimension without using a Dimensional.  I love the paint/splatter effect of the Color Theory Memories and More Cards.  It gives it depth and with this particular card - softness.

Card Supplies:
Rose Wonder, Timeless Textures, and Dragonfly Dreams stamp sets. Berry Burst, Basic Black, Whisper White and Crushed Curry cardstock. Basic Black and White Craft ink. Memories & More Card Pack, Black Washi Tape, Pearl Jewels and Dimensionals.
