HO HO HO: Sunday Stamps! #114

Greetings crafty friends! Today starts a NEW challenge at Sunday Stamps!.  Yippee!
Challenge #114 runs for 3 weeks in order to incorporate Thanksgiving weekend. Your creative project needs to be submitted by Friday, December 4, 2015.   What does that mean? It means there is plenty of time for you to join us! Here's the new sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps!:

And here's what I made using the Cozy Christmas stamp set.

I went outside the box- well for me anyways, and decided to make a watercolor sky for Santa's sleigh. The colors I chose to work with are: Pool Party, Real Red and Silver.

Here are the supplies:
Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

I first embossed the sleigh and snowflakes onto watercolor paper using versamark ink and embossed them with silver embossing powder (note: the snowflakes are from the Wonderland stamp set). I then water colored using Pool Party and Real Red ink refills and a wet paint brush.  After it dried, I layered it onto a piece of Home for Christmas DSP followed by a piece of Pool Party cardstock. The base of the card is Very Vanilla.  I really like Pool Party and Silver together.  Add a splash of red, and you have a festive card!

Okay, so now you have seen my creation, now its time to head on over to Sunday Stamps! and see what the other design team members have created and then join us. Remember, you have 3 weeks to submit your creation. We can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks for stopping by!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
