SSC#110: Let It Snow.

I know its only September, so I shouldn't be saying "let it snow" especially here in Minnesota!  Note to Mother Nature: I was just kidding! Please keep this beautiful weather here. :)

This card was made for this weeks sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps!. I was very excited to use the very versatile Happy Scenes stamp set from the Holiday catalog (page11).  This set is perfect for all the upcoming holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  And I love that it has plenty of matching phrases to choose from.  I love the font, and the size is just perfect for card making.  How about that snow? Pretty adorable if you ask me.

I stamped the pine trees with Archival Basic Black ink and colored the trees with my Aqua painter and Mossy Meadow ink refill. Super quick and easy to do. I masked off one of the "let it snow" phrases before stamping on the white card stock and then repeated the masking to ink only one "let it snow" for the winter scene. I love photopolymer- no stampa-ma-jig needed for perfect placement!

The Silver Glimmer paper snowflake is from the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Die set.  The DSP I used is from Merry Moments paper stack. I love that there are 24 sheets each of 2 double-sided designs. Perfect for mass producing those Christmas cards!

  1. I just adore this card Annette, it caught my eye as soon as I saw it on the DT blog! The touch of red in the trees is just perfect. Lovely job!

My best friend lives near Crookston MN and she has been whining to me about how warm it has been in her neck of the woods. Of course, as soon as the cold moves in she'll whine about that too :) LOL
