A beautiful ribbon cake dressed in grays and white. Such a fun picture that I took the challenge literally and made a gray and white cake. Here it is:
I added a lot of fun details to this wedding card. But before I explain what I did, can you guess where the flowers on the cake came from? If you said Garden in Bloom- you are correct!
Here's what I did to create this card. First, I ran a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock thru the very pretty Elegant Dots embossing folder. Next, I inked up my brayer with Versamark and gently rolled over the embossed card stock. I then heat embossed it using white embossing powder. Such a pretty effect.
For the cake, I stamped the pedestal from the Build a Birthday set in Basic Gray ink. Each layer of the cake was stamped in White craft ink and then heat embossed with Irridescent Ice embossing powder. The cake wasn't tall enough for my liking, so I added another layer to the top- cutting it down a bit after I heat embossed it. I used dimensionals to adhere the cake to the embossed panel, and fussy cut white embossed flowers from the Garden in Bloom stamp set. I also added a few leaves from the Bird Builder punch. The sentiment is from the Something to Say stamp set. Lastly, I added some Whisper White Bakers Twine and Pearl Basic Jewels.
Here are the supplies I used:
