Watermark Easter card...

Hello!  Happy Monday!  I am busy making my Easter cards (at the last minute!) and have one I made this morning to share with you. :)  I followed the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog.  Here's the sketch:
And here's my card:
As you can see, I used the watermark image from the awesome stamp set called: Happy Watercolor.  As I stated before, my favorite stamp image from the Occasions catalog is the watermark image from this stamp set.  And look how cool it looks with my retired Everybunny stamp set!  Yes, I did water color a few things-rather quickly I might add- after the fact, but you certainly wouldn't need to.  It's such an easy way to add color to your outline stamp images without the hassle of coloring each image! Hoot-hoot!  Isn't this fun?

I also used my new Fringe scissors again.  First I hand cut a "curve" shape on the Gumball Green piece and then cut it with the my scissors to give it a "grass" look.  Then at the last minute I added a strip of Daffodil Delight on the bottom.  I maybe should have kept either the "grass" theme with it our changed the green piece....but I have to get the Easter cards out...so kept it as is.  What do you think?

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Happy Watercolor and Everybunny (retired)
INK: Memento Black, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Gumball Green
PAPER: Watercolor Garden DSP, Gumball Green and Daffodil Delight card stock
ACCESSORIES: Fringe Scissors, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, Aqua Painter and colored Rhinestones.

Have a great Monday! Happy Stamping!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
