Dynamic Duos #95: Triple Threat Week

It's Triple Threat Week at Dynamic Duos, and this week we are looking for crafty creations using the colors: Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky and Pale Plum.  Here's the challenge:
And here's my card creation:
I have about a half a pack of the retired color Pale Plum left....so I was able to use the exact colors for this challenge (note: I probably have EVERY retired color since the creation of Stampin' UP!...no joke).  Hoarder?  Nah....
I used a current stamp set called Cycle Celebration and some retired DSP paper in Rich Razzleberry and Soft Sky.

The cycle is stamped in Basic Gray. I then sponged Soft Sky onto the wheels.  I added some glitter to the spokes on the wheel, the handle bars and seat.  Then I topped it off with a couple of Rhinestones.  It definitely looks like a sparkly bicycle in person. :)   I also used the new SCALLOPS embossing folder and sanded the DSP to distress it a bit.
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Cycle Celebration
INK: Basic Gray, Rich Razzleberry and Soft Sky
PAPER: Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky, and Pale Plum
ACCESSORIES: Oval Framelits, Banner Framelits, Scallops Embossing folder, Needlepoint Border Embossing folder, Scallop Edge Border punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Corner Rounder punch, White Bakers Twine, Basic Rhinestones and retired Rich Razzleberry ribbon.

  2. This is a "wheely" sweet card! Love the scalloped paper and gathered ribbon. And you're not a hoarder, because they never use stuff up. You could refer to yourself as "prepared for every possible colourful occasion..." Hugs! C.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
