Dynamic Duos # 89: Subtly Yours...

Hello, and welcome to another Dynamic Duos Challenge! This week we are creating projects using Pistachio Pudding and Blushing Bride.  Here's the challenge:

And here's the card I made for this weeks challenge:

I used the same stamp set from last week's challenge called Peaceful Petals.  I love to water color and this set is perfect for water coloring.  I usually do NOT use water color paper, I guess I will say I'm too lazy to get it out.  However, today I decided to give it a whirl.  It may be hard to see in this photo, but the front/main flower is pieced together three times.

I used the smallest framelit from the Banners Framelits for the Pistachio Pudding flags on the side, and the Blushing Bride DSP is retired.  I love how this turned out, and I hope you like it too. :)  Why don't you pop on over to the Dynamic Duos challenge blog and play along with us this week!  For more inspiration, make sure to check out the other design team creations!

  3. Absolutely beautiful, Annette. You can see the layering in your photo nicely. I love the subtle DSPs as a backdrop. The black sentiment is perfect with the subtle colors.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
