Dynamic Duos #86: Love You So

It's time for another color challenge at Dynamic Duos!  This week we are back to creations that are "Subtly Yours" using the colors: Pool Party and Pink Pirouette.  Here's the challenge:
And here's the card I made.
Don't you just love the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die?  And how about the DS paper?  I LOVE this years Sale-a-bration paper!  This piece has little Pool Party flowers on it. It's so pretty.  I absolutely love it.

To make the banners, I used the Banners Framelits Dies. The Pink Pirouette banner has not been altered, however I did cut the Pool Party framelit  piece a smidge smaller in width so that I could insert just half of the paper and cut just the banner end out . This way I could make the banner as long as I wanted.  I also cut about 1/4" off each side of it to make it thinner.  After embossing the heart from the Perfect Pennants stamp set, I free hand paper pierced around it.

Here's a close up picture showing the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die.  I ran it thru my Big Shot twice- once with Whisper White and then again with Pink Pirouette.

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Geometrical and Perfect Pennants.
INK: Memento Black and Versamark
PAPER: Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White and Sweet Sorbet* DSP
ACCESSORIES: Hexagon Thinlit Die, Banner Framelits Dies, Petite Petals punch, White Baker's Twine, Basic Rhinestones and White embossing powder.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
