And here's what I made for this weeks challenge:
Oh what fun it was to create this goody. I pulled out all kinds of "accessories". Here are a few explanations: I stamped each ornament in Crumb Cake onto Very Vanilla card stock. I then stamped each one of them again using my glue pad and then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter onto them. I die cut out the ornament images onto a piece of Always Artichoke card stock and then stamped the branches using my Always Artichoke craft pad. Yep, I have an Always Artichoke craft pad. As a matter of fact, I have all the original SU craft pads that were offered way back when. : ) Then I embossed the branches with Clear embossing powder. I then stamped the ornaments string with my Versa mark pad and embossed it with Very Vanilla embossing powder. I then ran this piece through my Big Shot using the Stylish Stripes embossing folder (and prayed that it wouldn't ruin the embossed images...and it didn't!) Note to self: stop using the Stylish Stripes embossing folder on every card you make! :)For assembly, I used dimensionals to raise the Always Artichoke piece of card stock onto a piece of Crumb Cake and "dropped" the die cut ornaments inside for perfect placement. I then added the die cut stars. After more layering and adding a bow, I placed this piece onto the Crumb Cake card base using dimensionals again. Finally, everything was accented with Basic Pearls. In real life, she is pretty sparkly! : )

ReplyDeleteAnnette, your card is beyond stunning! So beautiful with every detail just adding to the perfection! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say your card is stunning, but everyone beat me to it. So it's dazzling! I think my favorite detail is actually the strings for the ornaments -- is that from the Merry Little Christmas set? I've been wanting something else to use for ornament strings besides a straight line or a ribbon. Stealing this!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card!!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is drop-dead gorgeous! And you can keep using that striped embossing folder--it works really well on this card. I think my favorite part is the sparkly 3D fir boughs--so pretty. Beautiful job this week, Annette!
