Love is in the Air for Sunday Stamps! #143

Hello, crafty friends! Happy New Year!  Can you believe 2016 has come and gone! ?  Where did it go and so fast??

Today, I am excited to share a SNEAK PEAK of an awesome NEW- must have bundle from the Occasions catalog called Lift Me Up.  The design follows the new color challenge at Sunday Stamps!

The Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away Thinlits Dies bundle is so versatile!  It has awesome sentiments for these adorable balloons.  Birthdays, Graduation, Thinking of You and Thank You are just a few of the cards I see making with this set.   Add the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as I have here, and you have a perfect Valentine card!

Here's the new color challenge at Sunday Stamps!  You have until Friday, January 13, 2017, to join us!
To play along with this weeks challenge, choose a minimum of 3 colors that are similar to the color swatch provided in the picture above.  The colors I chose to use for this weeks challenge are: Wisteria Wonder, Sweet Sugar Plum, Blushing Bride and a hint of Soft Sky.

To create the background, I sponged the listed ink colors onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then dropped water droplets on to it using an old tooth brush.  To prevent the paper from curling, I quickly dried it with my Heat Tool.  Next, I embossed this "rainbow" of color panel using the new SNEAK PEAK Falling Petals Textured Embossing Folder.

Finally, I wanted the embossed petal hearts to really pop, so I brayered a little White craft ink over them making sure not to press too hard.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
