Grassy Grove

Hello to my crafty friends! It's been a very busy month for me and sharing my creations in a blog post has taken a back seat.  However, I do want to share a card I made for my son Josh's birthday from last week.

He is an avid outdoors men who loves to hunt.  I think I have used every masculine stamp set (well almost) I have to make his cards! lol  You can't go wrong with the Grassy Grove stamp set and coordinating Grove dies.  I love how the largest die makes a blanket of trees perfect for a woods scene.

To create my card I first created my background layer by blending Balmy Blue and Petal Pink inks onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Blending Brushes. Next, I stamped the grass area using Garden Green inks and then colored it with a Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blend.
I then stamped the deer using Early Espresso ink. I adhered the die cut Early Espresso trees onto to my completed scene using Dimensionals. I then added this to a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock followed by a Mossy Meadow card base.

I add some Mossy Meadow Ribbon (retired), my sentiment (retired) and some Rustic Metallic Dots to finish it off.
