Making a quilt background is super easy to do. For this card, I used a retired Stampin' UP! punch, but you can punch 12 squares or cut squares of designer series paper measuring 1 1/4" x 1 1/4".
Next, mat all of my squares onto a 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" Basic Black cardstock layer and then run it thru the Big Shot using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder - or any embossing folder of your choice. After it has been embossed, mat your quilt layer onto a 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White layer followed by a So Saffron card base. Easy peasy....
I used the Golden Honey Specialty DSP from Sale-a-bration and colored a few of the floral images using Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to match my Painted Poppies floral arrangement. I do not have the Honey Bee stamp set, but I did stamp a few images while at my uplines home and found that this set can work fabulously with the Painted Poppies stamp set. TIP: Do you have the Painted Poppies and Honey Bee stamp sets? Combine them to create a beautiful floral arrangement!
I CASED my own quilt card from 2013. You can see it HERE. Yes, I have been stamping forever. :)
I hope you are staying positive and staying productive. I know its hard to do as we are all starting to go stir crazy, but we all need to hang in there. It's a great time to spring clean, read a good book, play games with your family, bake and of course stamp. :)

Very pretty. Love your quilted background and pretty poppies. TFS
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love how you used different colours, yellow and gray, to compliment the paper. Nice to see other colours for the Poppy parade.
