AESTAMPS A LATTE: Because of You

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing an alternative card idea using the June Paper Pumpkin kit.

The die cut images in the set are so darn cute! I love the texture of the palm trees, and the fact that each of the die cut images are made up of different material including vellum and glimmer paper . So fun and so cute. :)

To create my card, I first took a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock and stamped the "textured" image in the kit using Coastal Cabana ink (I stamped onto scratch paper before stamping onto the cardstock). I, then cut one edge to create my water line. Next, I sponged the following ink colors onto my Whisper White layer: Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather and lastly Coastal Cabana. And then just for fun, I took my Craft White ink refill and splattered white spots onto my sky using an old tooth brush.

I made an island for my palm tree using a scallop die cut oval from the Layering Ovals Dies and then cutting the top edge off to match my water line. And then to keep the textured look of the palm tree, I stamped my Crumb Cake card base using an image from the Woven Heirlooms stamp set.
