SSC100: a sketch challenge

Hello, crafty friends!

It's Sunday, and that means its time for another challenge at Sunday Stamps! :)  This week we are working with a sketch.

A fun sketch don't you think? 

I love the Ballon Bash stamp set.  I love it because it is very different from your typical stamp set and I think it can be used for anyone on your mailing list.  It's unique and trendy. That's why I like it so much.  I've used it at my hostess clubs and most recently at my Stamping Spa Day retreat.

Color pallet came from the Birthday Bash DSP: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Night of Navy and Gold.

The Bokeh effect was added onto the Bermuda Bay cardstock AFTER embossing the candle image in White embossing powder.

SSC#99: So Thankful For You

Good morning, crafty friends! It's time for another challenge over at Sunday Stamps!  This week we have a fun color challenge with some great spring colors!  Here's the challenge:

Isn't this an awesome color/photo challenge?  Believe me, here in Minnesota, we would LOVE to see a scene like this.  It's still very brown around here.  I guess stamping a pretty scene is the next best thing, right?  
For this challenge,  I chose Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz as my color pallet. Here's my card:

I used the Sheltering Tree stamp set and the sentiment is from the I Like You Hostess stamp set.  I used some retired Wisteria Wonder DSP, and the flowers are from the retired Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack.  Tree and words were stamped in Early Espresso ink.

I have been a busy stamper preparing for my Spring Stamping Spa Day, and created a project surrounding the color challenge at Color Throwdown, and also the challenge at Paper Players.  Here are their challenges:
                                                   

The colors I used for the Color Throwdown challenge are: Groovy Guava (retired), Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Kiwi Kiss (retired).  Paper Players challenge is to use a "die cut" on your project. My project consists of a birthday card made from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die set (my most favorite item in the Occasions catalog!).
