Hello, you

Last night I was cutting Gingham Garden DS paper for one of the projects we will be making at one of my  upcoming classes.  Of course I had some extra pieces of DSP laying around as well as an Island Indigo stamped flower from the Flower Shop stamp set and a yellow frame I made out of the new Deco Labels Framelits...as a result, a new creation was in order!  Here's what my "extra's" resulted in:
What a cheery card, don't you think?  Although the Gingham Garden DSP uses the color Melon Mambo, you can substitute it for Strawberry Slush as I did here (Note: Not all match Strawberry Slush...Melon Mambo does look better with other pieces of DSP from the Gingham Garden collection).

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Flower Shop, Secret Garden and Regarding Dahlias
INK: Island Indigo, Midnight Muse, Pear Pizzazz and Strawberry Slush
PAPER: Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Whisper White
ACCESSORIES: Gingham Garden DSP, Deco Label Framelits, Secret Garden Framelits, Pansy punch, Boho Blossoms and Itty Bitty Shapes punches, Finishing Touches Edgelits, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, Basic Pearls, Brights Candy Dots, White craft pad, sponge and glue dots.

Well, that's it for now.  Hope you like it.

Mosaic Anniversary card

Today I am sharing a card I made for my cousin and his wife. I decided to use the Mosaic Madness stamp set and matching paper: Quatrefancy Specialty DSP.  Here's what I came up with:
It was definitely fun to randomly stamp images from the stamp set to create a "mosaic" background.  Very easy card to whip up...which is always nice.  Love that matching punch!
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Mosaic Madness and Express Yourself Hostess stamp set
INK: Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo and Pool Party
PAPER: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Whisper White and Quatrefancy Specialty DSP
ACCESSORIES: Mosaic punch, Basic Pearls and Dimensionals.

Happy stamping!

CASED myself...and a Stamping Share Tip

Last night I decided to make another birthday card for my cousin's daughter, who is turning eleven at the end of the month.   I picked out my stamp set and DSP paper and then thumbed through my card stash and decided to CASE one of my own cards.  Why recreate the wheel if it still works, right?  In this post  HERE  it is the second card that I cased from SAB 2013.  Although, I must say I love both of the cards in that post....  : )
Anyways, here's what I came up with:

So nice to be able to whip up a card in a short amount of time!  Spare time in the summer is rare these days!  I think it turned out bright and cheery! Perfect for the sweet young eleven year old I made it for. : )
And notice the sides of the " Your Amazing"? I first die cut the stamped words with the largest die from the  Apothecary Accents Framelits and then I die cut the ends (one at a time) using the NEW Deco Labels Collection Framelits.
Hopefully the pictures explain it better.
Very easy to do and really makes the words from this stamp set stand out perfectly. : )

RECIPE:
STAMPS: You're Amazing and That's the Ticket
INK: Night of Navy
PAPER: Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Melon Mambo and Gingham Garden DSP
ACCESSORIES: Apothecary and Deco Label Framelits, Essentials Paper piercing pack, Modern Mosaic embossing folder, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon, Ticket Duo Builder, Boho Blossoms and Itty Bitty Shapes punches, Basic Pearls and Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed the Stamping Share Tip!  Stay cool!  It's over 90 degrees here!

My nephew turns "2"!

This is the card I made for my little adorable nephew who turns the big number "2" in about a week from today.  Wish we lived closer so I could see the little guy in person. :(
To get me started on the card, I searched for a sketch to follow. I decided to use the Mojo Monday Sketch 301 as my card layout.  Near the middle of creating it,  I decided to change my card layout from landscape to portrait.  Here's what I came up with:
Of course I grabbed my Birthday Basics DSP (again) to create the card! I used a retired birthday set for the balloons and colored them with Bermuda Bay and Summer Starfruit markers.  I also painted some shimmer paint onto the number 2 and a little paint was added to the balloons as well.
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Fabulous Phrases and Crazy for Cupcakes (retired)
INK: Black StazOn
PAPER: Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Bermuda Bay, Gumball Green, Very Vanilla and Birthday Basics DSP
ACCESSORIES: Oval Framelits, Argyle embossing folder, Occasions and Essentials paper piercing packs, Bigz Simple Numbers Die (retired) Bermuda and Summer Starfruit markers, Dimensionals, Cherry Cobbler brads (retired) and Champagne Shimmer paint (retired).

Hope you are enjoying the summer!  Happy stamping!
