Thanksgiving Cards

Do you remember the fall card we made back in October? Well that card is my Thanksgiving card for this year.
I used the same colors and paper, but I just changed the layout a little bit for each card I made. I sent out a total of 5 cards this year, and will be hand delivering two as well.
The last picture is a picture of my family and I celebrating my DH's BDay. Now he is as old as I am! HA!!!
My family and I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. We give thanks to God for our many gifts which include our family, friends, our health and our home. Let us all be thankful for each and everyday that we are able to enjoy our journey here on earth.
Annette :)

Sinple Masculine Card

I have 4 birthdays in the month of November. Here's birthday card number three. A simple, manly card without all the cutesy "thrills". I thought the row of brads made it "manly".

My next card will be for John's niece who is turning six. We'll see what I decide to do...little girls are always fun to stamp for! Have a great weekend!

Two birthday cards

Nothing fancy here...just a couple of birthday cards I made yesterday afternoon using Crab & Company and one of my all time favorites...Fishy Friends (retired).
Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

Another Season of Friendship card

Okay, I know I am supposed to be working on my sister's wedding album, but I also wanted to play with my new embossing folders I bought for my Big Shot. So I ran a piece of Real Red card stock through it and I had a cool swirly piece of embossed card stock in my hand. I set it down and went back to photos. But this piece of paper was staring at me so I stared back! It said "make a quick card...no one will mind...if its quick". So I just had to make a "quick" card. Actually this wasn't a quick card. I cut the snowflakes out by hand...but the rest was straight forward. I embossed the tree with chocolate chip and embossed it with iridescent ice emb. powder. I torn a sheet of white card stock and put it in front of the tree to make snow. I then used white liquid applique with glitter on the tree and snow. The snowflakes were added using dimensionals and each center of the snowflake has a blue rhinestone. ohhhhhh, ahhhhhhh. Very festive fun card!!!! I guess I can admit I am a stampaholic. But you don't have to help me, I think there are many of us of there! tee-hee. Annette

Beate's Weekend SC65

Yesterday I decided I could finally stamp in the morning. I threw in a load of laundry and set off for my stamping table. I stamped this house and picked out my colors based on the Frosty Days DS paper. Then I remembered that I should call the Dr. for the bump on my leg and they were able to get me in pretty much right away. When I was done I decided to run errands while I was in town.
Somehow my car drove to Crafts Direct :) and the next thing I know I bought 4 embossing folders for my new Big Shot!
Finally after supper last night while the kids were having some down time...I got out my Big Shot and embossed the snow flakes you see here on bashful blue. Then I ran around the house showing everyone how cool (and easy) it turned out!!! This is what I came up with for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. A potential candidate for my Christmas card this year. It is so cold out this morning. I can't believe my DH and 13 yr. old son are deer hunting in this! BRRRR!!!!
I only heard 4 shots this morning! Wear orange! Have a great weekend! Annette

Mary's card

Well, here's the card I came up with for Mary. The inside turned to be just as detailed as the outside, and I should have taken a picture of it, but I wrote in it after I completed it.
The inside has more DS paper and a tangerine tango stamped flower on the other side of the inside.
Kinda sounds confusing doesn't it?
I finally used a designer brad- Filagree. I like to hoard things....
Again, I love this pack of paper- Hawaii Papaya. Kinda earthy....that's what I like. Have a great day!! Annette

Snowflake sizzix die!

I had a chance to play with my new Big Shot and quickly made 4 snow flakes with a piece of Pacific point card stock that was near by. It was way cool! Super easy, super quick.

Then I got to make a quick card yesterday morning before we were off trick-or-treating. Here's what I came up with. Very easy as it is mostly all punches!

I cut the curly label punch in half and layered it over itself just a little bit as it was too wide for the large oval punch.

Have a great weekend! Annette
