The Sky is the Limit: SSC#119

Hello, and happy Sunday! We have a new color challenge at Sunday Stamps! for you to play along with this week working with some rich colors. Here's challenge #119:

I really wanted to try out my new SAB set: Sky is the Limit, so here's what I came up with using the following colors: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Basic Gray.

Stamping Tips:
  • Clouds were "painted" using a Q-Tip and bleach;
  • I stamped a second plane and sponged a little bit of White craft ink onto the propeller area;
  • I then punched out the propeller area using a 5/8" circle punch;
  • I added a mini brad and a dimensional to the propeller area.
  • I place a circle piece of vellum cardstock behind the plane.

While Sale-a-bration products are available until March 31, 2016, the Sky is the Limit SAB set is only available until Feburary 15, 2016.   You can earn this fun stamp set for FREE with a qualifying order of $50.

Riley

Hello!  My January has been somewhat challenging as our puppy, Riley has not been feeling himself.  Now after a month of medicine for a rash, loosing his hair, thirst, excessive bathroom breaks and trying different food, he has now been diagnosed with diabetes.  Breaks my heart, because he already has Addison's Disease to begin with, and we still don't have his allergy/rash under control! So frustrating!  Here's a picture of our 10 year old dog, Riley lounging with my husband.

Needless to say, stamping has taken a back seat, but I do have a  pretty pink card to share with you using another awesome Sale-a-bration stamp set called: Flowering Fields
The pink background behind the flowers was created by stamping the Watercolor Wash background stamp in Blushing Bride ink.  Next, I stamped the Flowering Fields stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink and colored them with by Aqua Painter and Rose Red, and Mossy Meadow ink refills giving it a watercolor look.

Hope you like my card.  Happy Friday, and happy stamping! Prayers for Riley are appreciated! Thank you.

It's Your Day!

Hello, crafty friends.  Today, I am sharing a card I made using lots of new goodies from the Occasions catalog.  Take a look:

I started by embossing a piece of white cardstock with the Confetti Texturized Impressions folder and then I ran my brayer over it using Mint Macaron ink.  Next, I stamped the "It's Your Day" from the Party with Cake stamp set in Basic Black, and then stamped it again slightly to the right using Mint Macaron ink.  Next, I added the "make a wish" and stamped it into the banner image from the Number of Years stamp set and die cut it using the Large Numbers Framelits.  Lastly, I added some ballons using Watermelon Wonder ink and paper using the Ballon Celebration stamp set and matching Ballon Bouquet punch.   To finish it off, I added some cute little stars in Watermelon Wonder carstock using the Confetti Stars punch.

Now onto the inside.  I kept it very simple because the Party Pop-Up dies are just too cool all by themselves.

Birthday Blooms for Sunday Stamps!

Hello, crafty friends!  Today is Sunday and that means we have a new challenge for you to play along with at Sunday Stamps!  It's a sketch.

A fun challenge, in which you can use any shape in place of the butterfly image.
And here's what I decided to make using the beautiful flower image from the Birthday Blooms stamp set.

I so love flowers, and this flower is so darn pretty and fun to color.  My color inspiration comes from the very awesome matching DSP called Birthday Bouquet.  I had planned to use it on the front, but ended up going with a piece of vellum to really make the flower pop.  I did use it on the inside. Sorry no photo.  I absolutley LOVE this stamp set and matching DSP.  And see that beautiful Pool Party glitter ribbon?  It's also a must have.  It is so soft and easy to work with- not to mention the perfect width :)  And to finish off the card, I added some sparkle to the flower using the Clear Wink of Stella, and a few sequins.

Bloomin' Heart Valentine

Hello, crafty friends!  Today's project is my first Valentine card of the season using the new Bloom' Heart Thinlit Dies and matching Bloomin' Love stamp set found on page 16 and 17 of the Ocassions catalog.

I had a piece of It's My Party DSP stack sitting on my stamp table which was leftover from the birthday card I made HERE using the Party Pop-Up Thinlits and just flipped it over to find this pretty Mint Macaron pattern tempting me to create with it- so I did! :)

Isn't the Bloom' Heart Thinlits stunning?  Even dressed just in white its gorgeous in person.  But who couldn't resist adding beautiful flowers made from the matching stamp set and die??  What a great bundle!  A must have if you ask me, and you asked, right??

Sunday Stamps! Challenge #117

Hello, crafty friends! Happy New Year!  How can it already be  January 3, 2016?   Time just keeps flying by!  Today is the first Sunday of the new year, so you know what that means...Yes, a new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  And its an awesome color challenge.  Take a look.

I actually ended up making two cards, and couldn't really decide which one I liked the best so I am sharing both of them here for you!  I used a new 2016 Sale-a-bration stamp set called Honeycomb Happiness.  Earn this item FREE with a $50 order from my online store starting 1/5/16! The images in this SAB stamp set are so cute! And coloring them is a breeze!  Given the colors in the challenge, I chose to use the ice cream cone image.  Who doesn't like ice cream, right?

For my first card, I decided to make a watercolor background using my Aqua Painter and Melon Mambo and Crumb Cake Ink refills. After it dried, I added circles using my white craft pad and sponge daubers.

For my 2nd card, I played with the same colors except I also used added another new item called the Confetti Textured Embossing Folder available in the upcoming 2016 Occasions Catalog.
