Thankful for You

Yes, I am thankful for you - my blog friends, and crafters who inspire me with their creativity and dedication, and to my family and friends who make my world complete.  I hope everyone had a fabulous and joyous Thanksgiving celebration! There are many things in which to be thankful for.

Here is a card share that Hostess Club members made awhile back.  Doesn't Rich Razzleberry look perfect with Soft Suede?  Well, I can't take credit for the color combo, The Into The Woods DSP gets the credit.  And do you see the gold glitter on the acorns?  The Fine-Tip Glue Pen makes it a snap!

Forest Friend Birthday

Today, I am sharing a card I made for my dad.  Now, this is not the direction I had planned to go, but none the less, this is what I came up with.  Hope he likes it. :)

I stamped the tree image from the Wonderland stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink directly onto the Woodland embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot using a piece of Very Vanilla carstock. I cut it down and layered it onto a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock that was embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder and this was then layered onto a piece of Into the Woods DSP. The card base is Tangelo Twist.  The cute bear is from the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set.  The ballon was made using a circle punch combined with the Owl Builder punch.  The sentiment is from a hostess set from the annual catalog called Silhouettes & Script.

I also outlined the embossed trees using my Mossy Meadow marker. The bear and sentiment were stamped using Soft Suede ink.

HO HO HO: Sunday Stamps! #114

Greetings crafty friends! Today starts a NEW challenge at Sunday Stamps!.  Yippee!
Challenge #114 runs for 3 weeks in order to incorporate Thanksgiving weekend. Your creative project needs to be submitted by Friday, December 4, 2015.   What does that mean? It means there is plenty of time for you to join us! Here's the new sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps!:

And here's what I made using the Cozy Christmas stamp set.

I went outside the box- well for me anyways, and decided to make a watercolor sky for Santa's sleigh. The colors I chose to work with are: Pool Party, Real Red and Silver.

Here are the supplies:

I first embossed the sleigh and snowflakes onto watercolor paper using versamark ink and embossed them with silver embossing powder (note: the snowflakes are from the Wonderland stamp set). I then water colored using Pool Party and Real Red ink refills and a wet paint brush.  After it dried, I layered it onto a piece of Home for Christmas DSP followed by a piece of Pool Party cardstock. The base of the card is Very Vanilla.  I really like Pool Party and Silver together.  Add a splash of red, and you have a festive card!

Okay, so now you have seen my creation, now its time to head on over to Sunday Stamps! and see what the other design team members have created and then join us. Remember, you have 3 weeks to submit your creation. We can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks for stopping by!

Blue Christmas

Hello!  I know it's been a long time since I have posted! Life just can get so busy, can't it?

Today, I am sharing one of the projects  Hostess Club members got to make or recieve in the mail. It uses lots of goodies from the Holiday Catalog and I think club members really enjoyed it.

Doesn't gold embossed trees look fabulous dressed in blue?  More specifically dressed in Lost Lagoon? The In Color Lost Lagoon is such a pretty color blue.  I think it makes the trees from the Wonderland stamp set look rich and elegant.

And how about that wood Snowflake Element?  I have used them a lot on my Christmas card creations for this year.  I love them!  You can add so many different accents to them to match your card like color them with markers or copics, or ink them up with a sponge dauber or add pearls, rhinestones, or whatever little sparkle you can think of!  But for this card, I wanted the snowflake to stand out on its own so I just added a  White Perfect Accent.

Here's the supplies I used to create this project:

I hope you like my card for today.  Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!
