Festive Trees

Hello, crafty friends! Today I am sharing a card I made using the Sleigh Ride Edgelits and matching Jingle All the Way stamp set.  There are so many fun ways to use these edgelits because you can move them to the left or right of a given width and acheive many different looks.

For instance, the panel of this card is 4 inches wide and I just adjusted the placement of the tree die in the front row to be centered on my 4 inch strip of cardstock.  After running it through my Big Shot, I just finished cutting the snow line with my scissors.  If you look closely to the tree on the right, you can see where the die ends.  I just took my scissors and cut over to where the die cut line ended.

And look at the trees! Instead of leaving them as plain cardstock, I  colored them to make festive trees.  So fun!

Supplies:

Jingle All the Way stamp set and Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies Bundle (140862);
Softly Falling Texturized Embossing Folder (139672);
Very Vanilla cardstock (101650);
Old Olive cardstock (100702);
Pool Party ink (126982);
Basic Pearls (119247);
Dimensionals (104430).

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Cucumber Crush Christmas

Hello, crafty friends! Today's card share focuses on the color Cucumber Crush.  Such a pretty green and perfect for coloring the beautiful pine trees from the Happy Scenes stamp set.  This stamp set is so versatile. It has so many themes and great words for all the upcoming holidays.  Today I am sharing a Christmas scene:

As you can see, I added a single tree to the front of the card with dimensionals and centerd it.  I just cut the other trees off.  I also added some Dazzling Details to the snow on the trees and the edge of the snow on the front panel.  Silver accents Cucumber Crush just perfectly!

Witches' Night Treat Box

Here's another treat box I made for Halloween using the Square Pillow Box Die set with the Witches' Night stamp set.  Super quick and easy to put together!  We don't get a lot of trick or treaters out where I live, but I will make a few these to add to my collection to hand out to special people.  See my previous post HERE using the other fun image in this set.

After die cutting the image using the Lots of Labels Framelits Die set, I sponged in Crushed Curry ink followed by Pumpkin Pie ink and then by Basic Black ink.  To make it pop a little more, I added some black rhinestones to the image itself.

And did you notice that I used the Softly Falling textured embossing folder on the box?   I think it makes it look creepy...maybe like warts?! Ha! Or should I say Hee-hee-he!

Who wouldn't want to receive one of these?  So fun and easy!  Here's the supplies I used:

Jingle all the way for Sunday Stamps! #112

Happy Sunday! It's time for another fun challenge at Sunday Stamps! And this week we have a sketch for you to follow.  Here is Sunday Stamps! sketch challenge #112:

And here's what I decided to create using the Jingle All the Way stamp set and matching Sleigh Ride Edgelits.

Colors are: Pool Party, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive. Other accessories from the Holiday catalog are: Merry Moments DSP stack (page 27), Softly Falling Embossing folder (page 24), Snowflake Elements (page 23), Home for Christmas Enamel Dots (page 9) and Linen Thread from the Annual catalog (page 159).  Need a copy of the Holiday catalog?  Contact me and I will send you one!

Did you notice that I added another horse to the sleigh ride?  I actually had planned to use 3 horses but it looked a little overwhelming for this particular sketch so I will save that idea for another day!

Now its time to over to Sunday Stamps! and check out what the design team members have made and then join in the fun!  We look forward to seeing what you create!  Happy day and happy stamping!

Magical Season

Oh, how I LOVE the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the Holiday Catlaog! There are so many fun ways to use this folder!  For this card, I embossed a piece of Pool Party card stock with this new folder and then I carefully brayered over the branches using White craft ink followed by heat embossing with white embossing powder.  It looks so awesome embossed in white!
Next, I layered a piece of the gold speckled vellum from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack (another awesome product) on top of it.  It gives it a 3D look of golden snowflakes falling from the sky.  So pretty in person!  And there are other cool designs in this vellum stack that will look just as beautiful.  Who doesn't like gold???

I then added a focal point which is a sentiment from the Cozy Christmas stamp set and is adhered with Dimensionals.  To finish off the card, I added Gold Metallic Thread and the pop of a few gold sequins.

This card says it all in a sparkly and hip kind of way without a lot of difficulty!   Click HERE to shop. Have a happy day!

A Merry Little Christmas

Home for Christmas...  Doesn't everyone love to be home for Christmas? I know I do and Stampin' UP!s Home for Christmas DSP will definitely make you feel like you are right at home-right back at home in the 70's that is!  Is that considered vintage now? Ugh!  Any hoot, here's a card I made using the Santa side.  This paper has so many fun sides to choose from that you don't need to add a lot of stamping to it.  Perfect for mass producing those Christmas cards this year!

 My design follows the sketch challenge over at Just Add Ink.  Here's the sketch challenge:
JAI #283

Add some sequins and some Silver Cording Trim, and this creation will take you back to your childhood past!

A Princess Birthday!

Today  I am sharing a card I made for my sweet little niece who is celebrating her 3rd birthday very soon and I will actually be there! Yippee! I am so excited to see my family in Kansas City this weekend!  Here's a Snow White card that I CASED from a pin I saved on one of my boards called: Punch Art.

I made this into an easel card.  Colors are: Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Ballet Blue, Daffodil Delight and Real Red.  So much fun to get out my retired colors for this card!
Supplies I used to create the dress:
Dress Up Framelits: blue dress part;
1 3/4" circle punch: folded in at sides about 1/4" to make the collar;
3/4" circle punch: light blue sleeves;
1/2" circle punch: yellow part of sleeve;
Circle framelits: the 2 layers inside the dress);
Oval Framelits: cut the 3rd smallest one in half;
Scallop circle punch: for slip under dress,
Cupcake Builder punch: 3 red circles on dress;
Butterflies Thinlits: I used the "poke out stuff" of the detail butterfly to make the 3 red shapes in the sleeves. ha!

Hope you are having a princess kind of day! Happy Stamping!

SSC#111: Missing You

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps! I must tell you that I had way too much fun creating my card for this weeks challenge.  Every time I look  my card I can't help but giggle.  :)

Although I am not trying to hurry along the cold wintery days, I have to say that I am excited to send this to my daughter  who is in her first year of college.  And believe me, I do miss her!  Right now our home is full of talk centered around fantasy football and hunting.   I can only contribute so much to these topics!  :)

The colors I used for this weeks color challenge are: Tip Top Taupe, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.  Here's the inspirational picture we are working with this week:

I love the challenge Holly Enderson, the creator of Sunday Stamps! put together for this week.  So fun, yet challenging since we are working with neutral colors. Want to expand your creativity? Then head on over to  Sunday Stamps!  and check out the design teams creations and then join in on the fun!

Trick or Treat!

I love the Happy Haunting DSP from the Holiday Catalog! It has big, bold images that are very easy to work with.  Plus it looks fabulous dressed up as a treat box using the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies.

I used the Witches' Night stamp set with the coordinating Lots of Labels Framelits to cut and layer this very scary treat box.  And to make the "trick or treat" sign really pop, I stamped the image on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and  punched out the "31" using my 3/4" circle punch, and then fussy cut the black bird.  Both were adhered using dimensionals.

To finish off my creation, I added black rhinestones and a piece of Tangelo Twist Stitched Satin ribbon (retired).  Here's another one using the oppostive colors/placement.

So much fun to make! Can't wait to hand this out to friends and family!  And I would LOVE to send you these 2 adorable treat boxs to you !
