Just Add Ink #268: The Best...

You're the Best, really!  I have been playing with the Friendly Wishes stamp set with the very fun EveryDay Chic DSP.  After I made a few cards on my own, I decided to find a sketch challenge to follow.  I found this great sketch challenge at Just Add Ink.  Here's their challenge:

This sketch has so many possiblilities. The design team has made some fabulous creations.  Be sure to check them out.

But before you head over there, here's what I made:

The Everyday Chic DSP is so much fun because you can color the paper any color or way YOU want to! I chose to color randomly using my retired Daffodil and Bermuda Bay Blendabilities.  You could also use markers, sponge daubers, a brayer, or Copics.  The paper is dark on one side, and light on the other so the possiblities are endless.  I really like this paper.

Happy 18th Birthday, Rebecca!

Hello, stamping friends! Today I am sharing the card and matching cake piece I made for my daughter's 18th birthday.  She is heading off to college in mid August, and I am going to miss her very much!

I used the awesome and must have Sprinkles of Life and Sweet Stack stamp sets along with the very fun Cutie Pie Thinlits Die set.    The colors I chose were: Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party and a splash of Crumb Cake.  The sentiment and cupcake bottom are stamped in Soft Suede ink to match the layers in the cake piece below. I also double stamped the cupcake bottom in White Craft. The cup cake layers were embossed in white before punching them out.

This litterally was my first go at the Cuitie Pie Thinlits Die set, and I do recomend watching Stampin' UP!'s youtube video HERE.  It is very helpful and will help you not waste your paper! :)  My first attempt to assemble was incorrect and I had to rip it apart and try again! Maybe I was rushing because it is easy to assemble......

These were so much fun to put together!  Thanks for stopping by! Hope you get to stamp a latte!

You're a Peach

This afternoon, I had a few mintues to stamp and decided to join the color challenge at Stamping Royalty.  Here is their challenge:
I love these colors together and I will  need to send out thank you cards to our family who were just here helping us celebrate Rebecca's graduation. I decided I would make a quick card using these awesome colors together while getting my stamping fix.
Here's what I made using another Stampin' UP! Hostess set called Silhouettes & Script.
As I said, my goal was to make a clean and simple card.

Here's the supplies I used:

Stamps: Silhouettes & Script and Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Calypso Coral, Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon
Paper: Crumb Cake, and Whisper White
Accessories: Calypso Coral and Pool Party DSP, 2014 Holiday washi tape, Linen Thread, stapler and sequins.

Okay, I feel much better! Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!

Sunday Stamps #104: Just For You

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I am sharing a card I made using the awesome Floral Wings hostess stamp set for the new Sunday Stamps! sketch challenge.  Stampin' UP! colors are Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush.  This stamp set coordinates with the Bold Butterfly Framelits as well as the Butterflies Thinlits.  So its definetly double the fun! :)  I also love that it is a two-step stamp set, and that I can put ANY of the flowers where ever I want them to be.  I used the single flower image stamp and a medium sized flower to fill in the green leafy vines. I also stamped the honeycomb image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set to soften it up a bit.  I see these two stamp sets working well together.

And here's where my card design came from- the new sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps!:

And here are the goodies I used to create my card:

Happy Anniversary!

Hello!   I hope you are enjoying the summer! I have to admit, that I am already getting tired of cutting the grass every 3 to 4 days due to all the rain we keep getting! I have been super busy, and I haven't had much time to stamp.  And I will admit, I am dying! Stamping is my therapy but graduation party duties have taken over my life right now.

Today's card is the anniversary card  I made for my husband.  It's our 25th Anniversary- but with so much going on right now, we will be celebrating it on a later date. Any hoot, here's the card I made for our anniversary.

I pulled out lots of retired goodies to make this.  Don't forget that today is the last day to sign up for 50% off the June and July Paper Pumpkin kit!  If you have never tried it before, this is a great opportunity to try it out!   Check it out HERE. Happy Stamping everyone!

June and July Paper Pumpkin card kit special!

Hello, crafty friends! Today I am sharing a video I made.  It's my very first one...so don't laugh too hard.  It would have taken FOREVER to upload it in HD quality, so I chose the "standard" quality upload so that I could actually get up and on my blog.  So, don't worry, your eye sight is just fine.

I made this for my non-stamping friends so that they can see how awesome the special is for new subscribers of the Paper Pumpkin monthly card kit.  Stampin' UP!'s monthly card kit cost only $19.95 a month, but for this special, you can try it out at 50% off for 2 months!

So if you would like to try it out, click HERE  and enter "SAVE50" for the promotion code. Please pick me as your demonstrator. You have until June 10, 2015, to give it a try.

Thanks, and happy stamping!
