Just Add Ink Challenge #263

Hello, stamping friends! I am back from Canada and I am sorry to say I did NOT outfish the boys. But, I did catch a Northern Pike, so that was quite fun. :)  I made time to stamp later today and I finally got a chance to take a picture of my creation to share with you.  I am playing in Just Add Ink's challenge which is to make a wedding themed project.
Here's what I made.

Of course I had to use SOME of the new goodies I purchased from my Sneak Peak order from the upcoming 2015-2016 Stampin' UP! catalog.  Colors are: Tip Top Taupe (NEW!), Delightful Dijon (NEW!), Gold and Very Vanilla.  I also used the NEW embossing folder called Boho Chic and Delightful Dijon Dotted Lace Trim- yummy!

Here's the rest of the items I used to create this fun card:

And here's what I made using NEW Sneak Peak goodies from the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP! catalog:

I used a brand new stamp set called Build a Birthday along with a new 6x6 sized designer series paper stack called: Cherry on Top.  Colors are: Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry.  And don't you just love that Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Trime? These Sneak Peak items will be available to order from the new Stampin' UP! catalog when it goes live on June 3, 2015.

Now that you have seen my creation, why don't you head on over to Sunday Stamps! and check out the other design team members samples....then join in on the fun! :)   Happy Memorial weekend, and Happy Stamping!

Another Hooray Its Your Day!

Here is another birthday gift/money card I made using the same set and pretty much the same layout. This one is slightly smaller than an A2 card, so that the flagged piece could hang over...which I found I liked. : )  I did add a new element from the upcoming 2015-2016 catalog: the Boho Chic embossing folder!

And this time I did take a picture of the inside.  I made a gift/money card pocket the same size as the inside card base and used my Oval punch to punch a little piece out for a pretty effect.  And the arrow is pointing to the gift. :)

Then I made a few more of these.  The pretty striped paper is from the Birthday Bash Specialty collection from the Occasions catalog.

There's nothing better than a handmade card filled with a little goody in it, don't you think? :)

It's All About You Today

Good morning, stampers!  I have a few cards to show you over the next couple of days that I have been working on for a friend.  She wanted  me to make her some gender neutral birthday cards to have on hand.  When I got home, I thought...and thought.  I guess I really never have made a gender neutral card, so it was going to be a challenge....  but challenges are fun, right?  So here's the first gender neutral card I made:

This is a square card.  I added a gift card/money holder on the inside using the same polka dot paper. I used the very fun and perhaps overlooked stamp set called Hooray Its Your Day from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It's a stamp set made for a card kit, but I just wanted the versatile stamp set.  The arrow is from the What's Up? stamp set - which is retiring,

I should have taken a picture of the inside for you, but I am not used to that!  What do you think of my gender neutral card?

I made this just for you...

Hello, and happy Saturday!  This morning I went thru my Stampin' UP! designer series papers and decided I needed to make something with the Maritime DSP since I haven't touched it for quite some time.  I bought this paper thinking "guy" paper, yet I haven't made one guy card with it.  So this morning, that was my quest.  Here's what I came up with using the Ballon Bash stamp set.  I love this stamp set!  Ahhhh, I made a card, all is good now. :)
