Be Mine Valentine Class projects

This is the treat bag stampers made at my Make and Take on Saturday morning.  It is basically the same as the one I made for the challenge colors over at Sunday Stamps! because I loved it so much!  Notice how nicely the scattered little red hearts fit perfectly into the embossed hearts of the bag?!  Do you know where the little red hearts came from??  It's one of the dies in the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits set!  I love, love this die set and the Happy Hearts Embossing folder.  They work great together.
Here's the second project ladies made.  It is a gift card/money holder Valentine.  It flips up, and we made a pocket at the bottom.  Everyone's gift card holder was slightly different because I used different patterns from the Stacked with Love DSP.

And the third project is basically like my previous post using the Sheltering Tree stamp set.  I decided there was too much red, black and white going on for my class (although I had planned it that way), so I changed the card base to Smokey Slate, and stamped onto scratch paper first before adding the red leaves to give the card an overall softer look.

And here they are all together. :)

You + Me....Sunday Stamps!

It's time for another challenge at Sunday Stamps!  This week we are playing with color.  Here's the challenge:

And here's what I decided to create using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits from the 2015 Occasions catalog.
I cut out two "front" pieces of the thinlits set to create a bag.  You can cut the sides down or leave them as is to create different sized bags.  I chose to make this about a 5/8" wide.  Below is a picture showing you a side view of the bag.

Next, I die cut a circle in the center of one of the bag pieces and then ran both Kraft Cardstock pieces thru my Big Shot using the Happy Hearts embossing folder.  I then attached a piece of acetate to the inside of the bag and assembled it.  I used the You Plus Me stamp set and and some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper for the hearts and Starburst Framelit.  I also cut a piece of 1 1/4" Burlap ribbon with a retired Bigz Die and attached it at the top of the bag using a piece of sticky strip. After filling the Valentine treat bag with some chocolate, I tied it closed using Silver Baker's Twine.

Here's my card:
Doesn't it look awesome stamped in gold!? Love it!
I stamped this beautiful flower image first in So Saffron ink, then in Hello Honey and then in Versamark.  The Versamark was then embossed in gold.  I did the same to the stems.  The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede.  The card base is Soft Suede. The Basic Rhinestones were colored with my Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.

Sunday Stamps! Design Team!

Hello, stampers!
Today, I am starting the year off as a new design team member for the Sunday Stamps! challenge blog! Yippee! I am so excited to be able to share my stamping ideas with you as well as to challenge myself!  Isn't that what its all about? :)

Have you ever participated in the Sunday Stamps! challenge blog before?  Well, if not, there are several wonderful reasons why you should check it out.  First, this challenge runs for 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to play, and secondly, the challenge rotates with a sketch and then a color challenge so that you can have the best of both worlds!

Our first challenge for 2015 is a sketch.  Here it is:
And here's what I decided to create using my new goodies from the 2015 Stampin' UP! Occasions catalog:

I used the new stamp set called: You Plus Me, along with the Stacked with Love DSP paper stack. I made a shaker heart using two of the heart framelits from the Hearts Collection Framelits and filled it with black and white sequins and little Red Glimmer paper hearts using the Confetti Heart Border punch. The little white bow is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlints Die set. These products are available to order starting January 6, 2015! And don't forget your  FREE Sale-a-bration item for every $50 order! Double yippee!!

Have you checked out my Be Mine Valentines Class?   Check it out! The class is on Saturday, January 24, 2015.  Don't live in town but still want the projects? I will send you all 3 completed projects we will be making if you place a $25 minimum order with me January 18-24, 2015!  This is my special offer just for you! Don't you just feel the love?

Here is a closeup of the shaker heart.

Now that you have seen my creation, why don't you head on over to the Sunday Stamps! challenge blog and check out what the other design team members have created and THEN join in on the fun!

Sneak Peak: SAB Lotus Blossom

Happy New Year!  This morning I decided to play in a color challenge over at ColourQ.  Here is ColourQ challenge #273:
Lots of fun, bright colors!  I had to dig out my Poppy Parade ink and paper....glad to find it and use it!  :) Here's what I made  using the very cool SAB set called Lotus Blossom.  You can earn this set FREE starting January 6, 2015, with a $50 Stampin' UP! order! Aren't you getting excited to get your very own?

The card base is Hello Honey and I ran it thru my Stylish Stripes embossing folder.  I stamped the three lotus flowers in Hello Honey, followed by Calypso Coral and then Poppy Parade.  The stems were stamped using Old Olive ink.  I then stamped the Dictionary background stamp in Hello Honey ink over the flowers (love it!).  I made a bow using retired Poppy Parade ribbon and colored 3 small Basic Rhinestones with my Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment in white onto Vellum card stock.
