Purple Christmas

Hello! I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving celebration!  There are many blessings in which to be grateful.  And I truly am grateful for the many blessings in my life.
Yesterday I made a card following 2 challenges, but I didn't get it up until now, and missed the deadline for one of the challenges.  But that's okay!  Here's my card:
I followed the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches:
And the color challenge at Sunday Stamps!:
The colors are: Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder and Very Vanilla.

I used the ORNAMENT KEEPSAKES stamp set along with the matching HOLIDAY ORNAMENT Framelits.  I sponged Perfect Plum stars onto the base of the card using the Hearts & Stars Decorative Mask, and embossed stars onto the Very Vanilla piece of cardstock from the Lucky Stars embossing folder. After assembling the ornaments, I added some Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details glitter to them.  So much fun!

Santa Tag

Hello! Today I want to share a Christmas tag I made using the SANTA STACHE stamp set from the Holiday Mini catalog.  Here it is:

I made several of these tags using different paper from the awesome Under the Tree Speciality DSP. This paper is awesome! It's kraft cardstock and I love it!  I bought an extra pack to hoard. : ) Any hoot,  here's the recipe for this fun tag:

Ho Ho Ho!

Hello, stamping friends! I have another Christmas card to share with you.  This is another one of the cards I will be sending out this year for Christmas.  My Hostess club ladies made this in October.

Can I just say that I love the MUSTACHE DIE (item #133741)?  It makes such a cute 3-D Santa. Anyways, here it is:

I used the new stamp set called: SANTA STACHE from the Holiday catalog to create this fun Santa card.  Here are the Stampin' UP! supplies I used:

Cherry Cobbler 8-1/2 x 11 Card StockGarden Green 8-1/2 x 11 Card Stock Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folders  Santa Stache Clear-mount Stamp Set  Ovals Collection Framelits Die  Mustache Framelits Die by Stampin' Up!  Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack   Silver Foil Sheets  Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack by Stampin' Up!  Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack

Technique: I sponged White craft ink onto the embossed stars from the Lucky Stars embossing folder.  I colored Mr. Santa using my Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate and Skin Tone Blendabilities. When it was assembled, I ran my glue pen over Santa's hat, mustache and beard and then added Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  So much fun!
Thanks for stopping by!  Happy stamping!

Merry Christmas sketch challenge

Hello! Today I am sharing a Christmas card I made for the sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps!.  Here's the challenge:

And here's what I made:

What a great sketch. It was a lot of fun putting this card together. Here are the supplies I used:
Merry Everything Clear-mount Stamp Set Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack Frosted Sequins Crumb Cake 8-1/2 x 11 Card Stock Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine Window Frames Collection Framelits Die
I also stamped the snowflake stamp from the HOLIDAY HOME stamp set in White craft ink behind Mr. Santa.  Mr. Santa is from a retired SU stamp set.  To make the "tag" I ran just the top part of a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock thru my Big Shot using the WINDOW FRAMES Framelits.  Then I just trimmed the sides off to make a tag.  I also used my Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate and Skin Tone Blendabilities along with a green and black copic marker to color Mr. Santa.   And a Christmas card can not be complete unless it sparkles, right? So, I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to Santa's suit. : )

Well, I am about 1/2 finished with my Christmas cards. I would like to get them done by next week, if at all possible.  Happy Stamping!

Merry little wish....

Hello!  We are having a major snow storm here in Minnesota! I had to leave early from visiting my sister this weekend because of it. Bummer!  But, we are safely home, and the boys have just returned from their deer hunting trip as well.
I have been quite busy working on my Christmas cards these past few weeks as well as making some crafts to sell.  I finally had a chance today to take a picture of one of the cards  I am sending out this Christmas:
Pretty straight forward stamping for this card. I love the FESTIVAL OF TREES stamp set! We made a cool gift card box recently on  Hostess club night, and I have made several versions of it to bring to work to sell.(pictures to follow on a later date). Love stamp sets that have matching punches! It really makes stamping a breeze!

I stamped the trees from the Festival of Trees stamp set in Garden Green ink onto Garden Green cardstock.  Then I added the ornaments  and tinsel stamps using Cherry Cobbler ink.  My color theme came from the Trim the Tree DSP.  No extra color thinking needed!
After assembling it, I added Silver Sparkle and Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details glitter.  I also added a few silver sequins from the Frosted Sequins embellishments to give it a finished festive touch

Thanks for stopping by! I hope I have encouraged you to 1) buy the Festival of Trees stamp set; and/or 2) make your own Christmas card!

Happy stamping!
