Halloween Tricks-n-Treats...

Here is a picture of a few of the Halloween treat holders I made using the Stampin' UP! Fry Box Bigz Die.  I LOVE this die.  You can get 2 fry boxes out of one sheet of paper. Plus you can stack several sheets of paper before cutting. Very quick and easy to make!  I made Halloween treat holders for my Hostess Club ladies and also for a few people at work. :)
After cutting the fry box out with Basic Black cardstock, I ran them thru the retired Spider Web embossing folder and then added White Craft ink using a sponge.

And I love the Fall Fest stamp set with the matching Fun Fall Framelits Dies.  So quick and easy to make the 3D ghost and pumpkin!   The Merry Everything Bundle is a given because any stamp set with a matching punch is awesome! :)

FM 182: Happy Haunting!

Hello, stampers! At the Friday Mashup challenge blog, they have a very cool challenge called "In a Galaxy.  They provide you with 2 different tutorials on how to make a "galaxy" background.  I watched them both.  They were both so cool, that I decided to give it a try.  However, I had limited time to actually make the card and get it uploaded before the challenge closed. Plus, I didn't have easy access to my paints.  So, unfortunately, my card was made with my reinkers not paint. Bummer!
But, I did have lots of fun making this and plan to dig out those darn paints and give the "galaxy" tutorial a try at a later date. Any who....here's the challenge:

And here's what I made:

I used watercolor paper and followed the first tutorial of the 2 provided.  I also made a matching treat holder with the Fry Box Die. Colors are: Basic Black, and Tangerine Tango.

SSC86: Merry Christmas!

Hello, stampers!
Today, I made a Christmas card following the sketch layout over at Sunday Stamps! challenge blog.  Here's the sketch challenge:

And here's my card. Colors are: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White with a splash of Gold.

Oh, how I love to stamp holiday themed cards! So much fun!  I have only made a few so far, and I feel like I am already behind! UG!  I used LOTS of new goodies from the Stampin' UP! Holiday catalog to create this fun card. :)
I stamped the "Merry Christmas" in Versamark onto Vellum cardstock and embossed it with Gold embossing powder. I then stamped the smallest snowflake from the Endless Wishes stamp set with my White craft pad (so I could see where I was stamping) and then embossed them with White embossing powder.  I stamped all 3 sized snowflakes in Early Espresso and Crumb Cake on a white piece of card stock which is glued to the Vellum piece of card stock.  The white and gold snowflakes where made using the Snowflake card Thinlits Die .  The DSP in the background is from the Trim the Tree  Designer Series paper stack, and the hanging banner is made from the Naturals Chevron ribbon

Here is a close up for you to see.

I think I will head back to my stamping table and make another one of these using the other left over triangle pieces of DSP. :)  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great stamping day!

Happiest Birthday wishes, Hanna!

Today, is my sweet little niece's 2nd birthday!  Being that we live so far apart, I am unable to help my sister celebrate Hanna's birthday. Major bummer!

When I was looking for the prefect stamp set to use for Hanna's card, I came across the very, very, very first stamp set I bought at my first Stampin' UP! workshop back in 1997: Button Bear.  I truly love this stamp set and will keep it forever.  And now that Stampin' UP! has awesome Blendabilities, coloring Mr. Button Bear is that much easier!

Here's Hanna's card:
Colors are: Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette and Tempting Turquoise.

Good news: My daughter and I are planning our annual road trip in November to visit Miss Hanna and my sister while my boys (and the state of MN) are deer hunting. Yippee!

Happiest Birthday wishes, Hanna!  Love, Aunt Annette

FMS#157 and CMCC#41: Grateful for You

Good afternoon, stamping friends! Today I am sharing a Thanksgiving card I made this morning using a new Holiday catalog stamp set called: Holiday Home.  It has been sitting on my stamp table collecting dust, and today I got to play with it!  I followed 2 challenges. Freshly Made Sketch #157 and Colour Me! #41.  Here are the challenges:

And here's my card creation:
The colors are: Cherry Cobbler, Hello Honey and Chocolate Chip.  I used Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Skin Tone and Crumb Cake Blendabilities to color the house and the Fun Fall Framelits to cut out the three leaves.
