Sneak Peek #4: Blended Birthday card

Hello! I hope that you had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend.  This Memorial weekend was exceptionally awesome weather.  Usually its cold, or raining or both!  The rain held off until Monday afternoon, so it was great.  I have been so busy that it is hard to find time to stamp.  But I can't live without it...so I did sneak in a little stamping today. :)  I played along with two challenges.  The first is a picture inspiration challenge from Stampin' Royalty and my card design follows the sketch at The Paper Players blog.  Here are the challenges:

And here's my card creation:
I had so much fun making this card!  I have been dying to play with my new Stampin' UP! Blendabilities and today I finally did!  My coloring isn't the greatest, I admit, but gosh darn, it was so much fun to play with those cool new alcohol markers!  For the Blended Bloom single stamp, I used Cherry Cobbler and Coastal Cabana Blendabilities. I also used a light pink Copic marker from my stash of goodies.  :)

Here is a list of the supplies I used. Not sure why the Blended Bloom image isn't appearing...such is life. :)

Sneak Peek #3: A New Hostess Set!

Good morning! Such a beautiful day here in Minnesota. I am so grateful for this nice weather!
Today I am sharing a card I made using a NEW Hostess set from the upcoming Stampin' UP! catalog called: Nuts About You.  I used the sketch at Sunday Stamps challenge blog as my card layout.  Here's the sketch:
And here's my card creation:
My actual design layout turned out a little different, but I will let them decide if my card qualifies for the sketch chllange or not. : )
There are so many cute little images in this set, I can't wait to play with all of them.  I studied this set for a long time before I actually bought it.  I wanted to make sure I could cut the leaves off of the tree as I prefer to use ink instead of markers.  And yes, indeed I could and did cut them apart! Yippee!
Here I stamped the leaves repeatedly in Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Baked Brown Sugar to match the DSP: Fresh Prints.

And as you can see on the inside, I stamped one leaf image and made it into flowers in the grass. : )  So fun!
I wanted to make a birthday card for a friend, so I did use a different sentiment from the Gifts of Kindness stamp set.

Graduation Money Card Holder

Hello! Today I am sharing a graduation card I made for my niece who just received her Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois. We here in MN are very proud of this young lady who is setting many positive examples for her younger cousins. :)  I found a cute card made by Debbie Henderson on Pinterest and followed her cute design.  I adjusted the height of the card to allow for a  greeting and space for signing on the inside, and found that I liked the belly band to help keep it closed as opposed to using velcro.  Otherwise it is her creation.  You can see her original post HERE.

The inside sentiment, larger star and the letters on the belly band are retired SU products.

Sneak Peak #2: It's a Boy card

Hello! Here is another sneak peek stamp set from the new 2014-2015 Stampin' UP! catalog,  I really don't have to make that many baby cards, but I could NOT resist the Something for Baby stamp set BECAUSE it has a matching Framelit set called Baby's First. So exciting!!!   Here's my card:
I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog.  Here's the challenge:
Can you guess what other set I used? Tricky aren't I? Yep, I used the Something to Say stamp set.  Don't you just LOVE those stars??  So darn cute!  And how about the little booties? I took a piece of Thick Coastal Cabana Bakers Twine and pulled it apart to get one string and tied it around them.  And then I made a bow on the bottom of the card with some of the leftover twine.

Here's a list of the items I used. The asterisk means it is a sneak peek item from the new 2014-2015 catalog.

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Something For Baby* and Something to Say*
INK: Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and White craft pad
